Title
Implante Coclear

A cochlear implant is an electronic device that is surgically placed in the cochlea (inner ear). The implant allows for direct stimulation of the auditory nerve. It is indicated for people who experience severe to profound degrees of hearing loss.

Improving one’s hearing through the use of a cochlear implant requires time and patience while progressing through stages of acclimation to the benefits of the new technology, and to the loss of what residual hearing the person had previously.

The results can be very good if the person meets the minimum requirements of candidacy. It is important to determine if you satisfy the requirements. To ensure accurate qualification determination, a series of tests must be conducted, involving assessments of the individual’s audiological, linguistic, medical and psychological characteristics.
